The app is not designed for children and the sleep times and durations are not calculated with children in mind, and we do not recommend melatonin or caffeine for children. 

Children of different ages will need different sleep recommendations in terms of timing and duration also. A future version of the app will permit plans for children, based on age. 

Advice from our very own Professor Dr. Steven Lockley:
"In the short-term, I suggest expanding the recommended sleep timing provided for adults by starting sleep earlier (based on the child’s normal sleep times) but waking at the same time as adults, and following the same light-dark exposure pattern as adults when awake."

IMPORTANT: Do not give melatonin or caffeine to children.
